The NDSM Treehouse offers conditions that are conducive to creativity and we provide for working facilities, ready to be used by individual artists. This project runs a gallery, an open air theatre and several guest studio’s.
We strive to provide a respectful, comfortable and productive environment, freeing artists from the pressures and distractions of daily life.
Objective. The objective of NDSM Treehouse art residency program is to promote the arts in Amsterdam and foster intercultural exchange and dialogue between international and local artists and art centre’s.
Who can Apply?
The residency program is available to all artists from any country, regardless of age, gender, or medium. The residency focuses on the disciplines of visual arts but we will also consider applications from other mediums including creative writing, music and dance.
Exhibition
Each resident will have the opportunity to exhibit his/her work at NDSM.
Funding opportunities for artists
Participating in our artist-in-residence program costs money. Sometimes we cover all costs, sometimes the Treehouse don’t cover any costs at all, which makes it necessary to find additional funding.

Een Artist In Resident programma verleent kunstenaars tijdelijke woon- en werkruimte ten behoeve van de kunsten in Amsterdam: “for art’s sake”
Het NDSM Treehouse verzorgt de basisfaciliteiten die gericht zijn op het bevorderen van de creativiteit en de professionalisering van de deelnemende kunstenaars. De verschillende studio’s zijn plug & play te gebruiken door individuele kunstenaars. Dit project bestaat uit drie gast studio’s, een galerie en een openlucht theater.
Wij streven naar een respectvolle, comfortabele en productieve omgeving waarin kunstenaars vrij van hun dagelijkse stress en afleidingen geconcentreerd aan hun kunst kunnen werken.
Doel:
Het doel van het NDSM Treehouse AIR programma is om internationale kunstenaars in Amsterdam te promoten en de interculturele uitwisselingen en dialoog te stimuleren tussen lokale en internationale kunstenaars en kunstinstellingen.
Aanmelden:
Het AIR programma nodigt alle kunstenaars uit, vanuit elk land ongeacht hun leeftijd, geslacht of medium. Het programma richt zich vooral op de beeldende kunsten maar sluit uitdrukkelijk mengvormen, podiumkunsten of muziek niet uit.
Tentoonstelling.
Elke gastkunstenaar krijgt de mogelijkheid te exposeren op het NDSM terrein.
Financiële condities.
Het deelnemen aan dit programma kost geld. Soms zal de organisatie alle kosten op zich nemen, soms ook geen enkele. Dit maakt het vinden van eigen middelen soms noodzakelijk.

Artista en residencia. Los programas permiten a los artistas trabajar y permanecer en otro lugar “por amor al arte”. La casa del árbol NDSM ofrece condiciones propicias para la creatividad y proporcionar espacios de trabajo, listo para ser utilizado por los artistas individuales. Este proyecto se ejecuta en espacios hechos con contenedores una galería, un teatro al aire libre y varios estudios techados. Nos esforzamos por proporcionar un ambiente de respeto, cómodo y productivo, liberando a los artistas de las presiones y distracciones de la vida cotidiana.
Objetivoe:
Ojetivo del programa NDSM Treehouse residencia de arte es el de promover arte en Amsterdam y fomentar el intercambio intercultural y el diálogo entre artistas internacionales y locales y el arte del centro.
El programa de residencia está disponible para todos los artistas de cualquier país, (excepto para los ciudadanos de Amsterdam) independientemente de su edad, género o medio. La residencia se centra en las disciplinas de las artes visuales, pero también vamos a considerar las solicitudes de otros medios como la escritura creativa de música y danza.
Cada residente tendrá la oportunidad de exhibir su trabajo / en NDSM.
Participar en residencia del programa cuesta dinero. A veces se cubren todos los costos, a veces la casa del árbol no cubren los costos en todo, lo que hacemos es encontrar financiación adicional.
